AHHH For that Idiot who said "he gave us free will" Thats so stupid...that right there disproves that he even exists. First off think about this....God is sitting around one day and is bored...so he creates 2 perfect humans... so we think..actually they are flawed...Why because they choose to listen to a serpent..."the Devil" well where did this serpent come from??? well God Created him...and as we all know God Created the Devil..but the devil decided to turn against God..but being that God knows everything that happens before it happens he knew the devil would turn....Hmmm interesting....Then people say that we have free will when in all actuallity its like some huge game...God and the Devil are almost working together to get people to choose...and yet people see the devil as bad when God in all actuality needs him...Its all a load of crap

It isn't overlooked. Heaven & Hell and all that.
What a boring place the universe would be if everything was love & harmony. No, we need a bit of disturbance now and then.
If only to show that a God or Gods are on their toes.
There are many critters on this planet that would eat you.
Is that evil? I doubt it. I like a steak.
I don't think philisophically that good can exist without evil being present. All goodly things would become meaningless.

I do not believe God made evil.God created the angels that had almost as much knowledge as he does and it was because of the abuse of having all that knowledge that lucifer,a fallen angel from God decided to go against God's word hence the temptation of Adam and Eve in the garden.Lucifer now the devil on a path for the destruction of God's work and the introduction of evil into the world

Ok now trhat is a ridiculous thing to say! your ovbiouisly very niave and totally uneducated in this particular fact!

God did not create Evil, he cast out Lucifer one of his fav angels because he became jealous of Gods creation of man, and hated that God loved Man more than him! thus he shuned God and tryed to over throw him, only to fall to earth and be cursed by God.
Thus the Devil was born! God gave man Freewill , which means we do as we please and thus we make choices for ourselves..Evil is a choice, people can take it or leave it...

So God did not create it, we did........

There called the 7 deadly sins

1Greed:is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

2 Lust:is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body

3 Glutony :is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

4 Sloth: is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

5 Envy:is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.

6 Anger:is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.

7 Pride: is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
Its as simple as that...so get a clue!

First of all, despite the squirming of believers, it's an inescapable fact that if god made the universe and everything in it, then (s)he made the devil. The details of Lucifer's fall are irrelevant, as god created lucifer and the conditions of jealousy which supposedly caused his fall. (As Milton says, Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven)

To answer your question, people conveniently overlook this fact because they desire the cosmic comfort blanket that belief in a benevolent sky pixie affords them.

Monty Python's Ode To Creation

All things dull and ugly
All creatures short and squat
All things rude and nasty
The Lord God made the lot

Each little snake that poisons
Each little wasp that stings
He made their brutish venom
He made their horrid wings

All things sick and cancerous
All evils great and small
All things foul and dangerous
The Lord God made them all

Each nasty little hornet
Each beastly little squid
Who made the spiky urchin
Who made the sharks? He did

All things scabbed and ulcerous
All pox both great and small
Putrid, foul and gangrenous
The Lord God made them all

Hi, I'm a 'mug' and this is the way I see it:

God made the world and it was good, but for good to exist there also has to be bad (or evil, or whatever). Otherwise, everything is just average. God gives us the opportunity to follow him and chose the 'good side' but to make it a real choice (and not just the norm) he also allows us the opportunity to be bad/evil.

So yes, he created evil, but the amount of good that has also come from it surely outweighs this?

Typical Xians, don't they ever read thier Bible?!?!?
Attention ignorant xians, please pull out the the King James Version of your bible and turn to Isaiah 45:7. Read along with me.... "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

HELLOOOOOO!!!!! This is your god talking, right? He says in his book that he creates evil!!!!!!

Now I know the common apologetic is to use the "translation" argument that this translation is wrong and some other translation is right. However for 300 years the KJV has existed and the translation has never changed.

Don't you get it God is also evil and the Devil is also good. Everything is ying and yang, positive and negative and all the universe and life as we know it is a balance of both. Chaos is all around us, it benefits many while many suffer. Evil is good and good is evil at the same time. Nothing means anything god/satandammit!!!!

There is a distinction between "make", and "create"; to make is to project, as a child with a fertile imagination; to create is to bring about manifestations of everything that exists. Evil does not exist. It is a simple projection of our fear of being separated from our Father...Mother...Great Spirit...only what is real has existence...nothing unreal has existence.

The phrase, "God created everything" should be: "God created everything that is real." For God creates out of Its own reality.
