How come when questions are asked, the bible basheers come out in force to tell us about Jesus? You never hear any Jewish people or Sikhs or Muslims give us their opinion form a religios persepective. Is it just Christians that feel the need to harass people and badger them into beleiving their crap?

My apologies if I have offended anyone but when I wrote this I was getting kind of angry about the creationists on here continually trying to disprove evolution, it really gets my goat, and the guy last Sunday who told me I was going to hell because my girlfriend and I (who live together) were going shopping.

I do appreciate the answers form Christians who like a discussion but there were a few on here which are taking the piss out of Christians which isnt entirely fair, keep posting people.

Did you really mean to use the term, "Bible basher"? Bible bashers (if I understand you correctly) do not believe in the teachings of the Holy Bible. Christians are eager to share the good news of Christ. Since He is the way, the truth, and the life we are compelled to share. I don't believe in harrassing people because it is not by force or by my might but by the Holy Spirit that I share.

Matt 13:45,46 "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it."

When God changes ones life for the better we out of love will want the same to happen to others. We serve the King of kings, and the Lord of lords!

Godspeed!

There frankly aren't very many Jewish people. A few million in the US, I think less than 2% of the population. Only 13 million in the whole world, relative to 1.3 billion muslims.

It's amazing to me that 2-3 billion people could hate a paltry 13 million so much as to think they're the cause of the world's problems. But- I guess that's the way bigotry works.

Harass and badger? Have you actually looked at some of the questions asked? Who is harassing who? If you don't like the fact that there are so many Christians on Answers, then maybe you should pick another site to voice your dissaproval.

Personally I think you're deluded. I very rarely see 'forceful' Christian views being put across. Most people seem to answer the question being asked, and not bring religion into it.

But as to why people do sometimes bring religion into a question when it seems to you to not be relevant:
1. As people have said, religions tend to encourage their members to convert others, to save them from eternal damnation. You get more Christians than Muslims doing that on here, as the majority of users happen to be from Christian dominated countries.
2. If you are 'properly' religious, then it affects every part of your life. That's why some people bring religion in when you think its not important: it's beacuse they think it is.

Why do you get so het up about something you yourself call crap? If it's crap, ignore it and it'll go away. Nobody's forcing you to read responses you don't like...that's what the scroll button is for!
Or is it that you're scared of what you can't understand because you've never experienced it and have no real first-hand knowledge of it? Is that the reason for the unsolicited, unnecessary vitriol in your question?

I have actually seen Jews and Muslims in answers in the past.

I was raised as Church of England, but I actually state that I have no religion.

I simply believe that religion in no longer the way for the human race.

Religion is designed to bring people together, now it just drives us apart.

How come there's so many people like you who want to oppose the Christian "crap" as you put it? If you don't want to read the answers, then it's simple: Don't ask any questions and keep away from this web site.

Just one more thing...... Perhaps Christianity actually does have the answers which all other "religions" don't have!

The Christian's duty is be involved in the Great Commission:
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned."

The majority of people on Yahoo! Answers are Americans and the majority of Americans are Christian.

Also, in case you haven't noticed, Christian/Americans feel that their lifestyle is under attack in recent years.

When we feel threatened, we lash out and frequently strike back. Yahoo! Answers is just a symptom of this phenomenon. It's probably not a conscious response, but a subconscious reflex...

Many of the Christian religions instruct their followers to proselytize. Conversion is the way the church grows and their followers have been told that acceptance of their faith is the only way to salvation. There are many Christians who believe in good faith (even if mistakenly so) that their duty is to save you.
