my husband got bit by something,,, it went from looking like a bug bite to real dark red and bigger than a quarter around, his ankel is swollen and it is very tender. The red is like it is raw and it is blood read but is not an open wound. He wont go to the doctor and I want to know what it may be. We live in Eastern TN

He really needs to go to the doctor. There's some nasty spiders around here. We have a brown recluse that basically kills the muscle and tissue. There's also black widow's, but he would probably be pretty sick if it were that. My father in law was in the hospital for over a week for a spider bite. I really hope he will go to the doctor. You may be able to find something on the internet about the types of spiders here.

Sounds like a Brown Recluse, he needs to get to a Dr. The recluse venom eats away the healthy tissue & rots a hole in the leg (typical bite area)

Many different species of spiders exist in all parts of the U.S. There is no way to tell what bit him, or if it is a spider at all. I would try to get him to see a doctor, if thing get bad. Fourtunately most insect and spider bites are NOT deadly.

wacth it brown recluse spiders live in Tennessee they will make his flesh rot. get him to the Doctor right away. cause if it is caught to late they have to cut chunks of you out
