Mine developed 2 years after starting Actonel so I'm not sure that is the cause, It's taking months to get rid of them maybe because the Actonel stays in the body for a long time. I had the same thing happen three years after taking Fosamax.

Anyone can develop sensitivity to any drug, even after (and sometimes especially after) using it for years. There are other medications that your doctor can switch you to help counteract the effects of osteoporosis. Talk with him/her. There isn't much that can be done to cure the rash once it's started. Try asking for something to treat the symptoms.
