No its not, If it is a violent religion you'd see every single muslim person to be violent. "Islam means Peace" - check on every internet site and ask the question "what does islam mean".
It means salam- in english "peace" which is what we all need.

Islam is the fastest growing religion and millions of people convert into islam especially women even when they say women who wear headscarfs are being opressed. Kristiane Backer used to be an MTV presenter. You think she converted to islam so she can live a life being opressed?? Yeah ok.


99% of the media you hear about islam is BS! so dont buy it. God loves people with knowledge so go out there people. Search for knowledge and find your own answers about islam instead of watching the news.

Unfortunatly there are very few people out there who make islam look bad but thats only a few and they never speak for anyone but themselves. Islam condems violence and killing. God said killing 1 is just as killing a million in the holy quran and he condems those who do it.

Anyway if you want to hate islam, you need to know about it deeply and not from word of mouth. If someone said something bad about your mama and spreaded the rumour around would you belive it. No you wont, youd go find out the truth.

I do not believe any true religion is violent. I think it is the people of that religion who see it as their personal quest to convert everyone they can and kill those they can't who are violent. That includes Christianity as well as Muslim. Many peace loving people in each group however the Christians had their holy wars (crusades) and the muslim are having their jihad with religion as a back drop. As long as there is man on earth there will never be peace. You can never make two minds agree 100% on everything. you might get lucky and have 2 people be in accord on somethings but not usually in politics or religion.

Yes, there works are proof, a sign that there is more than peace allowable with in the workings of islam.Works of terrible violence, cloaked with in the wording of the Koran,so as to be seen as good and exeptable to our God, rewarded with virgins and what ever else in heaven.
With in the wordings of Christ, there are no such workings, for Christ is the blessing of peace and light ; The cornerstone, The Door way. To not strike but turn the other cheek. The sanctity of Life is blessed, and peace the only out come in Christ. So my answer is this, Because the Muslim has not delt with this violent spirit with in its body, with in its past, begining with the pain of Ishmael, Islam CAN be a violent faith, how ever ,with this spirit delt with I see there is much they have to offer the world regarding faith. islam proved to be unviolent religion, as we have heard about what muslims are going through in the world, where they are being harassed and persecuted for something in which they did not take part and in which they played no role.

I don't think any religions are violent. I believe religious fanatics can be violent and many people use supposed religious beliefs to commit violent acts. It seems to be like the adage guns don't kill people, people kill people.
