No crab but they taste OK. You can make your own which do contain crab for about 1/3 of the cost of take away.

Maybe they should call them crab flavored crabmeat-like chunks that are actually made from fish? Crab sticks are easier to say.
They contain a fish called pollock and I've seen them with natural crab flavor, whatever the heck that is. And they are WAY cheaper than crab. I don't think they taste a whole lot like crab, but I like them anyway.
And how many of y'all eat hotdogs and sausage? Nothing in those but lips and tail-holes and feet. Please. Ground up mystery leftovers in a gut casing. How gross is THAT? I like mine with chili (more ground up mystery meat), kraut (rotten cabbage) and mustard.

To some people they probably taste like crab. A lot of people also eat 'fake'meat, drink non-alcoholic beer, eat 'fake'caviar, eat white chocolate ( which contains no cocoa) etc etc.

By the way, are we even sure that mcDonalds chicken nuggets actually contain chicken?

Well, that's true, there's no crab in them. But on the plus side, there are no sticks in them, either. So it's a wash.
Personally, I would rather chew on the box they came in.

It's true! They are rubbery and gross. I like seafood, but those crab sticks are very yucky. As far as diets are concerned, they are high in protein, so get recommended a lot. But they seriously taste like sweetened paper to me. Blech! Don't ever eat them again!!

pollock and crab flavouring.
They are cheaper than real crab.
I use em in sushi because they are easier to roll but I buy a japanese brand and it find them better than the ones from north america as they are truly tubular.

I like the way I can strip it and it lasts for ages.....on Weight Watchers they don't have many points.

They may not have crab in them but they taste fishy to me!

Because they taste divine and are low fat. Why eat Beef Wellington when there are no wellingtons in it. Or Chinese Chicken when the chickens are blatently English?

They contain Surimi which is a white flesh fish.

Because they taste great, and they're versatile. Great for cooking with, and adding bulk to a seafood lasagne.
They're made from the flesh of a white fish.
