Homemade coleslaw is good for you. You can find a great mix in the produce aisle. I just made some and even my 5 year old liked it. It called for mayo but I used miracle whip as it is lower in fat. You could also try a low fat mayo. If you buy it , then it is packed with fat and calories plus homemade tastes better. They make a mix called Broc a slaw and that is good too as the base is broccoli instead of cabbage. Raw veggies are really good for your body.

Don't drench it in mayo and it's fine. In fact, cabbage definitely is better for you than lettuce, which has almost no nutritional value at all unless you are eating spinach or arugula.

The coleslaw you see in grocery stores, which I think is absolutely disgusting, is usually drenched in mayo.

It is good for you from the point of view that you are eating shredded cabbage, onion and carrot, but watch the mayonnaise content.

It's better for you than the house salad. Iceberg lettuce is just the most expensive way California has to sell water to the rest of the country....

It is ok, if you use low fat mayo, the raw cabbage may give you wind though, so don't eat it if you intend to get snuggly with someone

On the whole.....good. The raw cabbage content is great..... the mayo content a bit more difficult.....oil......eggs etc.....but a good food source overall.
