I don't think I am. I eat healthy that's all. I eat porridge for breakfast most mornings, I eat fish twice a week, I don't eat wheat every day. I used to be 11stone 2 pounds (last January). Now I weight 8st 13 pounds. I am 5 ft 5½ inches. Am I underweight or am I just healthier?

Your ideal weight at 5f 5 1/2inches, should be around 9 stone 4lbs, your not that much underweight but dont lose anymore, if your happy at the weight your at now then that's OK, be care full as its easy to fall into the trap of having an eating disorder. x

I wouldn't worry. I am 5'6 and weigh 8 stone 3lb. people are forever telling me I'm anorexic but I eat as much as your average person and am not a health freak. I also eat loads of junk food, but never put on a pound. Even after having my kids I went back to a size 8 in 2 weeks.
Some people just have a fast metabolism.
Enjoy the fact that u look fantastic in most clothes and people will die 4 a figure like u'res.
Ignore the ones who make nasty comments they are only jealous.
U're family are bound to be worried that's wot they're for. As long as they can see u're eating sensibly they should not worry.
U musn't get het up about u're weight as this can lead to all sorts of eating problems!
Keep eating sensibly and u're weight will be wot it will be!

I'm 5ft 9 and i way 9 st I've been told that it is average i eat and i eat but have difficulty putting on weight i see were you are cumming from i would not be concerned but chat to your GP see if he can sort you out with a trip to see a dietitian if you think it is getting to you other things might be causing you to lose weight like depression or any medication you might be taking for other ailments you are not that much under weight in fact id say your weight is perfect for your height but if you are weary about it see the Doc

it's probably healthier than bieng obese, you are far from bieng dangerously underwieght, you say you exerscise and eat right so it sounds like you may have exercised off some extra babyfat as long as your eating right and keeping the food down (im malnourished i have a problem keeping food down im not bulemic im an alcoholic) then your just healthier than you were when you were slightly overwieght - your parents would worry or complain about something else if it wasnt your wieght -i'm 34 and my parents still complain at me..mind you ive also heard my gran tell my mam off...

well I guess the only one who has the answer to your question is you. As long as you are not obsessed by healthy foods or calories and you feel fit, and are in good health, keep doing what you're doing! But watch out for not ending up having an eating disorder!! Maybe that's why your parents worrie, maybe they see things you don't (want to) see. I'm not saying I'm right, but as a weight freak myself I can relate...

You don't mention whether you are eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, which you should be in order to be healthy.
You have lost quite a bit of weight in a short space of time, I don't wonder that your family are worried about you. Being really thin is not necessarily the same as being really healthy.

If you do not have any health problems,being a little underweight is ok.Have a general medical check up and see you are otherwise ok.It is better to be underweight than overweight. I was underweight till 24,but healthy.There after my weight started increasing now I am trying to reduce it.

I'm 12 years old, weight 42 kilos, and my height is 1.63. And my parents always want me to eat more. And when I eat more, everything that I have eaten comes out!!! If you eat your veggies, your meat and rice, chips and chocolate or soda, with the right measure, you're perfectly fine! Don't listen to those that don't understand your body function. Do what you want to do, because then you'll be perfectly fine!

You're underweight and I'm not American,but if you're healthy and resistant against contagious illness, it's not worrying.
Try to get a few pounds more, that your family calm down and regard your blood pressure and anything is alright!

you sound fine to me, you're probably just naturally small, like me. just make sure you eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, and then you will be ok. You are obviously not starving yourself- I know what it's like to be constantly told you have an eating disorder when you don't, and it is very annoying.Just ensure you are eating enough 'healthy' foods and try to tell your family to lay off a bit.
