Don't you think God is in total control of both nature and people?

Don't you think that God punishes sin?

Well then I'd better tell you He sure does.

to Don
God is almighty, and he's allgood.
And it's the other way around we're made in His image, but shouldn't you know that as an apostate.

Of course there is punishment for sin. " For the wages of sin is death...,"

But, there is also redemption from sin. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whosoever my believe in Him, should not parish, but have everlasting life."

Punishment will come for those that do not believe.

Also, God is in control, but He does not control the thoughts and actions of men. God knows how we are going to act when faced with certain decisions, but He does not force us to choose a certain choice over another. If He did control us, then why do we have free will to choose how we act. If God controlled what we did, then Satan would not be able to influence us in any way and the world would be as it was during Eden.

Well, God didn't cause Katrina if that's what you're implying.

But harsh weather will not be in the new earth.
Remember, Jesus stopped the wind when he was on the boat.

Mark 4:39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

2Pe 3:13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

That would be my deceased father you're talking about (an unbeliever, according to Revelations 21:8)

Did you need to take a course to disrespect the dead, or does it come naturally?

In response to your comment: Then you don't truly believe "God punishes sin", or you deny the truth of Revelations 21:8. Which is it?

God does'nt control anything. He is not real. He is a fictional character from a book. There is no sin either. Take responsibility for your own actions based upon your morals and beliefs, not some made up character. This is why religion will destroy the world, people believe in this garbage and become schizos- hearing the voice of god, allah told me to do it, etc....

Your silly little pronouncement assumes a God that judges exactly as you judge. Nice little God that you have created in your own image and likeness Zorro. What will you do for an encore, create a devil that is the embodiment of all of the evil you think that you are seeing in the world.

Your funny.

Actually the brilliance of God's creation - humanity - is we were given the ability to choose, for good or evil.

Does He punish sin? I believe this is true, but it's not for me to say if the punishment is just or equal.

He punishes you so that others may go unpunished, and I thank you.

Oh I had a rough day today so you may have good punishment on the way from the big man. Dont thank me now.

Go get a punching bag and beat the hell out of it and let God deal with people's hearts....The only people who God is really angry at now are the vineyard keepers who aren't doing what they are supposed to be doing...Oh, I guess that would mean you.

People who deny punishment or the wrath of God could not have read the Bible, denied it, and then consider themselves Christian. God is who He is, it is by Him we change, and never are we to change what we know of Him, by what suits us.
