If you go to Bank, the rate might be lower. I suggest you to go to World Trade Area. You know Baiyoke Tower Right? That area. There is a little lane in front of World Trade Center. There is a money exchange center in that lane. I dont remember the name. I am sure you wil get higher price from there. But one thing ...make sure you have calculated the taxi fair to get to that area. Coz you can only gain from exchange rate when you change a huge amount. The price difference is only in satan.

You will always get the best exchange rate at a local ATM. So just pull money out of an atm in Bangkok and you will get a favorable rate and it will come out in Baht.

I am American, but when I went to thailand I got a little bit out at the airport, where they rip you off, and then the rest at an ATm in my hotel. I think you get him with a small fee from your bank, but it will be alot less then you would get by going to travel-ex or or some airport exchange. And it is alot easier then going to some out of the way bank just to save a couple of dollars.

Hi, you can change atthe money exchange booths along the main roads around the city. Operated by various banks, you may have to check around to getthe best rate. Usually Kasikorn or Thai Farmers banks give slightly better rate than Bangkok or Ayothaya banks. Still better for you to check, there are bound to be a couple around the same area, if you spot one.

Banks usually offer the best exchange rate--even ATM's aren't too bad if you withdraw Baht from an account you have money in somewhere else.
