This is not normal. Ask the vet these question, the next time you are there. Layman answers are useless.

Follow your vets advice. Most likely it is a bladder infection. The prescription your vet has given should help clear this up. Most likely the vet has also given pills for pain and that is probably causing the constipation. Feed your dog only wet food for the next few days while it is taking the pills. Also, get your dog to drink as much water as possible. Drinking water will do two things 1. It will help with the constipation 2. It will prevent dehydration which can easily happen when a dog has a bladder infection since they will want to go to the bathroom all the time due to the irritation.

I work for a vet - sounds like your dog may have a urinary tract infection which when its bad enough there is a small amount of blood in the urine. It is treated by antibiotics and usually after the antibiotics are taken till they run out you go back to the vet and give another urine sample to see if the dog is better. They can run a fever and feel pretty lousy with a urinary infection, an it sometimes hurts to go to the bathroom too.

He gave antibiotics b/c chances are it is bladder infection that could be from stress of new home. If problem persists, he will want to do urinalysis and maybe an x-ray. Lots of things can cause blood in the urine and most are easily fixed. Maybe you could try and take a urine sample with you at the follow up exam in case he needs it.

I'm sorry, I dont think you dog is well. I think you shoudl tell your vet every single detail as from my experience most vets dont listen ( most vets think my the books but not by the actual experience it self) Also is this a young vet that you are seeking, I would recommend an older more experienced one, My beautifuly dog passed last year and I think its partly from young unexperienced vets. Also older vets get straight to the point and inform you with everything you need to know, why and what si actually causing this to occur.

Didn't the vet tell you what was causing the bleeding? He is the one that you should ask. He is knowledgeable in the field. I hope she will be okay.

She probably has a urinary tract infection. Those usually clear up quickly if you give her the antibiotics as ordered.
