The very fact that you ask this question you ask implies that you harbor very hostile, bigoted, and homophobic views. Only a Pat Robertson fundamentalist would ever think such a thing. 9/11 was caused by the action of hateful men, many of whom might have been having sex with each other already, and Katrina was caused by nature. Nature does not have any type of moral code, passions, or sympathies. The slow and awful response, however, was caused by extreme incompetance from the government. The vast majority stranded and left to die were mainly African Americans and not homosexuals. So we can conclude that being African American was more of a punishment than being gay, and this punishment was delivered not from God, but from the apathy and incompetance of the government.

NO, Katrina happened because WE are destroying the planet and the storms are going to get bigger because we are warming the place up....Sad thing is that everyone/everything suffers because of it...

My daughter has a friend that evacuated from New Orleans and went back recently to see her destroyed house...In the pasture was the carcass of her pony. It is very sad...

I do not like it when Christians make God look like a violent killing machine...

Of course it did (in your imagination). You've been reading way too many comic books(religious texts). Why would you even ask that kind of question on Yahoo! Answers if you actually have any reason to believe it.Go ask your God or something.Let me know when you've finished building your Ark.Religious fanaticism is the foremost destructive phenomenon in the world today.I guess Sadam is on trial and the Talibans military decimated for the same reason if you choose to believe such nonsense. The Taliban fought the Soviet Union off for ten years and didn't even get a single plane in the air against the USA so don't try to say that we only attack countries that can't defend themselves.

Don't be an idiot. If your belief were true, it would be more likely to attack San Francisco that is filled with homosexuals, sodomy, prostitution, Satanism, Drug Addiction, Paganism, and any other form of sin. The second on the list would be amsterdam. How ridiculous can these questions get?

no... weather conditions caused katrina
as for 9/11, that was retaliation; not punishment for a sin.

you may not be fundametalist or muslim, but maybe you should think about things in a more reasonable manner than just to place blame on the US.

no. 9/11 occurred through a series of circumstances, none of which had to do with god.

new orleans was destroyed because the city was built below sea level and nobody listened to the hurricane warnings. it was compounded by the fact that there were many gangs and a large uneducated population that decided to steal everything of value and kill people for useless material things.

No, Katrina was a hurricane, caused by weather related phenomena.

9/11 was not a hurricane, but an act of aggression from religious zealots.

Jeez.

I think you'll find it was a cyclonic depression, which developed into a large tropical storm.
On Jupiter, an absolutely humongous raging storm has been blowing for centuries... Has this been caused by the unsavoury sexual predilections of the Jovians, in your eyes?

Reductio ad absurdum.
Works every time!

Katrina could have happened as judgement, and I believe that it did. People who know the Bible knows that God can bring judgement through the weather. New Orleans, satanic church, mardi gras, voodoo- against God? Does not God control the weather? I don't know about 9/11, but it wouldn't suprise me if it was. People who think that this is ridiculous need to know the holiness of God, His character, and about what sin is to Him. The weather is under the control of God; it should never be referred to as "mother nature".
