Clover Hill from Tasmania, Australia. It's as good as Champagne. Definately my favourite non-champagne.

Although Pelorus from New Zealand is pretty good.

If you're talking good value I'd go for Montana Lindauer Special Reserve.

And then there's Rockford's Black Shiraz...but that's another story.
