Percocet contains oxycodone and acetaminophen
Vicodin contains hydrocodone and acetaminophen
Oxycodone enters the brain faster than hydrocodone and is the ingredient in OxyContin. As far as which is better to take (assuming you legitimately need to) you need to discuss it with your doctor depending on your symptoms and other factors.

Neither are "better" to take, unless you want a chemical addiction.
Percocets relieve pain better, I feel.

it depends on your body...personally Vicodin make me feel ill...but Percocet doesn't which is weird because Percs are definitely stronger but like the other guy said two different cuts of the drug...either oxy or hydro

ADD: to the mention of addiction,,,, it has been proven that the thought of these drugs being chemically addictive is now untrue... they are not, they have come to find out.....that is fact.
