I love natural disasters so people will know that God does exist and no power, no money in this world could stop the Almighty God. Everyone wants to be patted on the back and expect God to give them joy give them this and that but NOT at all want to please God by doing simple things he ask for in the Holy Bible. This ain't nothing compare to the end times when Jesus comes back you won't even have time to grab your wife and kids you gonna say I wish I knew it was coming when this time God is still giving us chances over and over while we grieve his spirit so much.

You ask a priest to pray for a sick person , if the recover they " it is a miracle, god be praised", if they die "ah it is gods will", they wriggle out of it just like a politician being grilled by a reporter. What sickens me is the fact that a lot of priests act as if they have first hand information, as if they definitely know the mind of the creator, to me that is sheer arrogance.

No, thats because I don't listen to imaginary concepts like "wrathful God", and "divine punishment" which are nothing more than the most primitive of superstitions.

Yes. The other bigger question is "Why does God allow suffering?"

There are many deep answers to both but one simple reason could be: to give us opportunities to help, care, give love, and RECEIVE love from others.
