I use software on my pc at home that is linked to my keyboard which has built in fingerprint scanner. The software is called Omnipass. It is excellent for encrypting files by password or by fingerprint. Obviously like any other software it has flaws. Passwords can be hacked and someone could cut off your finger to use the finger-print scanner.

No but winace will encrypt the entire contents of a folder and you need the password just to get the file name. Probably get it from their website.
