Red kidney beans contain a toxin harmfull to humans they must be soaked in water for at least 24 hours before cooking, pre packed frozen meals with red kidney beans have already been through this process so yes they are safe to use, tinned beans are also ok as they too have been pre prepared, fresh ones however need to be soaked before cooking.. you will not die but you wont be very well

They are safe, but must be boiled for 10 mins solid, there was a big scare in the UK in the 80's about Red Kidney Beans

I'm not 100% sure but I know that you can freeze chilli (with kidney beans in) and then eat them.

I think the safety of kidney beans is more to do with them having to be soaked for the appropriate amount of time before cooking.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

Yes we do it all the time. In fact, alot of times, I will cook alot of it on a Sunday and put them in bags to freeze them during the fall and winter months so that all I have to do is thaw them out, heat and pour over rice, and then no slavin in the kitchen!

I would think so. We freeze chili all the time and it has kidney beans in it.

After you've been frozen, no food is safe to eat until you thaw out.
