You're right. The Nazis got in partly because they'd spent years winding some people up into a frenzy, but partly because some people thought 'well there is a problem and at least they'll do something about it.' There is no problem. Its all a scam. Refugees need help. Legal immigrants aren't a problem. Illegal immigrants shouldn't be here so what they're doing is illegal and they get deported when they're caught.
The last figures I saw where for the early 90's, and the govt figures were that more people emigrated from Britain each year than immigrated. The population has remained at 60 million for years.

You see, it's the easiest thing to blame all the wrongs in a society on a scapegoat that's easily identified, much easier than doing something about it. Most of the people who complain the loudest about "immigrants taking our jobs" will vote for people who say they will stop immigration, but also say that a company going to China to produce is just an"unavoidable part of globalisation", and that we cannot insist on worker's rights, because that makes us less competitive.

My advice to you is to not read the questions about immigration if it winds you up so much - think of your blood pressure!!
I know a lot of it can be narrow minded and out and out racism, but I think it's important that people are aware that UK citizens are so fed up. Let them vent their anger this way, rather than going out and beating up some innocent muslim.

I don't have a probelm with immigration and immigrants, what I do have a problem with is ILLEGAL immigrants and those that scrounge off the state. If you are in the country legally and paying your own way (unless genuine reason) I don't mind!
