it totally depends...
there is no right or wrong answer for this particular question.
the questions you need to ask yourself are:
> Do you want to let others see and remember your full name, date of birth or many other personal information?
> Do you want your privacy to be literally shattered?
> Do you want to accept the risks leading from your actions. i.e. someone, a stranger looking for you in front of your house?
> Do you feel comfortable and secured giving your personal information?
From there on, you can resolve your problem.

Since on Internet you can not see another person with your eyes or you can not contact him directly, you don't know the perspectives of other person. Hence do not give your full information without setting of privacy settings.
