It shouldn't be hard making it work unless you have had some problems in the past with your partner. But I think you have answered yourself with the second question.

Having a relationship worth having will always take work, that is the problem with relationships today. Most people think that they've fallen in love and that's all that is need. It doesn't matter - 1 year or 10 years or 40 years, the care and consideration for each other is always something that needs to be worked on.

Sometimes relationships just have ups and downs. If you truly love someone you should be able to work through these problems. Why move on if you're in love. It will all work out in the end.

Love itself, is hard work. But u need to understand that, just because u love someone, doesnt mean it'll be easy trying to make it work. But it does mean u'll be willing to go through the hard work...over and over again...for as long as it takes.
Matters of the Heart are so complex and tough to understand. You can't really convince urself of what u should be Happy with. Would u be happy moving on? Armed with the consolation prize of knowing that u have loved and been loved?

Even in a relationship where there is love and respect, you still have to work hard, the more you love someone the harder you should work at it. If you're not in love after a certain amount of time why should you bother.

Move on I did, I still love my ex but you can only give it so many goes, whats the point in being together if you always argue and break up, its better to have loved and lost rather than never loved at all

Often when you discover or realise that you truly love someone, it is because you almost lost that person to someone else, death, career change....etc.
That's when it seems harder trying to make it work, because all the odds seem stacked against you. The work shouldnt seem harder just more worthier!!!

depends on how much you want the relationship to be a lasting relationship. its always hard work in the beginning but as you get used to compromise, it gets easier and more enjoyable

Making good things good is always tough. You have to be sure its worth it first. Then commit and MAKE it work. I both people are working hard at it, giving all the time (BOTH people) then you should have less probs. Remember its always easier to destroy or slacken off than it is to make it work. It is tough...but worth it...
