The healthiest option would be not to eat it!!

But seriously, the whole idea of a full english is that it is fried food. You could always grill bacon / sausages / tomatoes, and you could poach or scramble the egg. If you also avoid the mushrooms, bubble & squeak, and chips, then you will have a breakfast that is considerably more healthy than a traditional fried English brekkie.

However, having said this, unless you're planning on eating an English Breakfast every day of the week, I wouldn't bother grilling etc and would go for the traditional fryup instead. If you eat it no more than once a week, it will do you no harm.

Enjoy! yum yum

I guess you want to do this so that you can promote it to your customers (judging by your name). I would therefore decide to target the particular aspects of a fry up that are percieved as unhealthy eg fat, salt and cholesterol and target a specific reduction in these. You could then promote this along with a positive aspect - eg high in fibre.

Do what you can with the classic ingredients as I doubt customers will go for a full breakfast without the bacon, sausage and egg.

As everyone has said if you grill what you can then you will reduce fat content. If you must fry then use olive oil. Poached egg not fried to reduce fat content. Use brown/wholemeal bread for increased fibre, reduced salt sausages, beans and bacon. Fresh tomatoes and mushrooms instead of tinned as these will have greater nutritional value. Not sure if different types of egg (duck/hen/etc) have varying cholesterol levels.

While the actual health benefits of organics are far from clear to use organic ingredients will certainly give the perception of health.

Obviously grill instead of fry ...... BUT..... then would it be a REAL FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST??? NO no and no again.

There is no other meal meal in the world better that a full English breakfast. The whole taste comes from the fried food. Yes yes I know its too high in calories, cholesterol, fat etc, but is also too high in GREAT TASTE.

Anyway, I don;t really think that a full English breakfast occasionally (because who eats one every day??) will do any major harm, and a little of what you like does a lot of good!!

I agree a proper english brekkie has gotta be fried! No way around it, it's just not the same unless it's swimming in grease around the plate.
R u on a diet?
If so u'll have to grill everything and have a poached egg with it. U could also have a huge fry up in the morning and then not eat 4 the rest of the day!

you would have to grill everything or bake it in the oven so all the grease would come out or you can cook it in one of those lean mean grilling machines or you can fry it in a non stick pan with no oil!

you can put more vegs in instead of meat
poach or boil the egg so it is healthier
use low fat meat or the vegetarian alternative
toast the bread and use brown instead of white
or just put less on your plate and give up somethings!lol!

there you go theres alot of ideas for you to make it healthier!

Hey, don't mess with the recipe! A full English breakfast is greasy eggs, fatty bacon and sausage, beans, perhaps mushrooms, tomato, perhaps black pudding, toast with sugary jam, and so forth, and it's not SUPPOSED to be healthy. In fact, if you eat it every day, it's SUPPOSED to give you a heart attack. So just save it for once or twice a week, and make your other meals healthy.

Grill everything instead of frying.
Poached eggs instead of fried.
Toast instead of fried bread (with low far margarine instead of butter).
Grilled mushrooms (the big ones) instead of fried.
Grilled tomatoes.
Reduced sugar and salt Heinz baked beans.
Bubble and squeak instead of hash browns.
NO black pudding!! White pudding if really necessary!
I'm a veggie so have veggie bacon and sausages which is much better for you that meat sausages and bacon.
If frying anything, use an oil like rapeseed oil which is non-hydrogenated.

I dont want a heathy fried breakfast, I want a proper one with loads of grease etc, thats why I ordered it.
And yes to black pudding, MUST HAVE BLACK PUDDING
Forget the mental veggie crowd let them eat leaves or somthing boring like that. They are veggie by choice so they wont order it give them an option though, (toast)
If you gave me a healthy version and I would send it back and ask for a proper one.

Mmmmm Grease

grill the bacon, sausages and toms, poach the egg and then flash boil the mushrooms also use wholemeal toast and low fat spread. but then it would not be a fry up. if you must have the fried egg use olive oil. lets face it having one every now and then won't hurt you.

have more veg with it
tomatoes
mushrooms
beans etc
That way if you are gonna be a fat muncher and have a good old fry up at least you are getting some of your (however many it is now) portions of fuit/veg a day!
other than that it cannot be made healthier i dont think? unless you use olive oil? and low fat bacon/sausage
