I have booked ticket from Southampton Central to Newcastle on virgin train. I live in Eastleigh, so I want to borad this train at Winchester otherwise I will have to go back to southampton to board this train as this train does not stop at Eastleigh. Do I need another ticket for travelling from Eastleigh to Winchester? FYI this is part of my original journey.

If you have booked a Virgin Value Advance then they are only valid on the services that you specified when booking.
If you have a Saver Single/Return or Standard Open Single/Return then you can travel on connecting services run by other train companies.

If it's an advance ticket you have just buy a single ticket from Eastleigh to Winchester for £2.90 then board your booked train at Winchester.

Re: your message
There's no period return so you will need to buy another £2.90 single on the way back

for low priced prepare fares (extremely than cheep prepare fairs which will have some thing to do with leisure by ability of knowledgeable budgerigars) you opt to objective and e book advance tickets, which purely grow to be obtainable 3 months earlier the journey. e book the journey on the community Rail or Virgin internet site, 3 months earlier you opt to holiday. you could sometimes save by ability of having 2 tickets (yet bear in ideas that the prepare has to stop on the factor the place the tickets exchange over) yet you at the instant are not liable to beat the final advance fares provides.
