I live in the slow lane but used to be in the fast lane for a very short period of time. I didn't like the fast lane it was comfortable to me. Made me feel like a fish out of water. I think I did everything I had thought of doing but didn't (partying, random sex, drinking,getting a tatoo) I'm grateful I didn't. I'd have regretted it for sure.

I suppose some people find it exciting to live fast, die young and leave a beautiful corpse. I prefer to take life so slowly that time sometimes seems to be almost moving backwards. While I live in the slow lane, in my car, watch out -- I do like to drive fast.

I'm always changing lanes. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow. Right now, I'm in the super slow lane.

I guess I have chosen the middle path - so that I could switch gear as and when it's required.
People choose their lanes according to the circumstanses and personality I believe. !
