Babysitting buddies gave you some very good advice. It is scary to scream yourself awake. I would add for you to try to focus on self discovery. Is there something holding you back from accomplishing your true goal in life? The attacker may be a symbol of what you fear the most that could set you off balance of your goals. Reevaluate your priorities. That is always a good thing to do periodically even if your dreams are sweet. If you know that you are on track, then great. If you feel that you need to rearrange something, then this dream, may be the catalyst to say that you need to take different path. If it still haunts you, reinvent the end of the dream. It is a trick that is successful with children who have nightmares about monsters under the bed. Do something silly for example to the attacker, like put him in a princess outfit and have him eat an ice cream cone. The sky is the limit with your imagination to give yourself a happy ending. Sweet dreams in the future.

In my nightmares I often try to run, shout or read something and I can't. It doesn't necessarily mean that sth bad will happen. Just nightmares. I wouldn't worry if I were you.
