Tiredness is often linked to diet and exercise, Eat a healthy diet avoid fatty foods as much as possible plenty of fruit and veg. For breakfast try a low sugar cereal such as shreddies, you can add a little sugar if you want but not too much, this will give you slow release energy which will keep you going, also try fruit, bananas are good but can get boring after a while so try other stuff as well, if your in a hurry a glass of fruit smoothie is great. If you can exercise before breakfast it will give you a good boost but, if you cant do it in the morning try in the evening, minimum three times a week and try to vary the exercise. Do not go to be late avoid caffeine after lunchtime if you can. Stick as much as possible to your usual bedtime and try not to lay in for too long at weekends. If you only do some of this it will help so take from it what you want but this is the key to how I achieve it these days, and it doesn't allways work sometimes you just didnt get a good nights sleep!. If you try all this and you still feel tired see your Doctor and explain the situation it may be there is something more fundamental underlying the problem.

Are you getting a good sleep and getting to bed early enough? Being young you should be full of energy. Make sure you get 8 hours good sleep, make sure your room isnt too hot or cold. Have some cereal before you go to sleep to stop hunger pangs waking you up and the milk will help you sleep. Avoid to many fizzy drinks before bed as these can stimulate you and keep you awake. A good bowl of porridge or weetabix with some banana before school should keep you going. If your eating sugary cereal for breakfast then maybe your giving your body a sugar rush then your sugar levels can crash a couple hours later and make you feel lousy. Take a healthy mid morning snack instaed of crisps and chocolate (if poss, i LOVE my chocolate!!). Treats are fine but try and eat healthy too and not have to much sugary pop and sweets as this will make you feel tired in the long run. Really though if you are feeling so tired that your not functioning properly and none of this helps then you need to see your doctor, you could be anaemic (lack of iron) your doc can check for this and also make sure you have no other underlying problem making you tired. Growing up in teenage years demands a lot from the body. Therefore two things are necessary 1. a proper diet and 2. good sleep. You do not indicate whether you are sleeping well. Start the day of well with a good balanced diet of energy and goodness. Most cereals do not provide energy to last from one meal to the next. You need to have a slow energy release breakfast. I suggest porridge which is also very good for your heart and arteries. Do not add sugar if you can help it take honey if you need to sweeten it. Let the porridge oats soak overnight for best results. Take a glass of hot water with a heaped teaspoon in the morning and in the evening. Also take one teaspoonful of natural apple cider vinegar with half to three quarter of a cup of cold or warm water. It may be a bit sharp for your taste and if so add a little bit of honey. Eat a sensible lunch and have a good evening meal with plenty of vegetables. Avoid sweet things and chocloate which both provide some energy but have greater drawbacks. Don't eat anything after 20:00 as this makes your digestion system work while you are trying to get to sleep. This prevents sound sleep in the first few hours after you go to bed and those hours are the best sleep you get during the night. Most young people burn themselves out by late hours resulting in no energy during the day. Going to bed at 04:00 and getting up at mid day which is the usual routine for teenagers at weekends does not provide proper sleep. In this situation by mid week the energy level is nearly non existent. You are at the most important stage of growing up and what you do now will influence your later years. Exams are a stressful time and a build up of low energy does not help revision or during exam periods. Your education is very important so give it yours best shot and that includes proper sleep and a proper diet. Your education now will influence the home you will be able to afford in the future, the type of car you can drive in the future and where you go for holidays every year. The better the education results you get the better paying job you will get and the more qualities in life you will be able to afford. Don't fall into the trap of not being exam prepared.

If you're feeling tired that early, you may lacking in vitamins. Iron deficiency drains energy. A simple blood test at your doctor can check this.
Are you getting enough sleep during the night?
Try a Berocca every morning with breakfast.

Hi Jack,
I always eat breakfast cereal and a glass of orange juice.
The orange juice is great, because it's high in fructose (fruit sugar) so it gives you a quick burst of energy.
The cereal (usually weetabix, shreddies or shredded wheat) is high in carbohydrates, so it provides slow release energy and should keep you going till lunch time.
Honey on toast is a great source of energy.
I wouldn't recomend coffee, it's a stimulant, but won't provide any long term benefits and you could come to rely on it.

You need to eat a low GI Meal! this will give you energy through out the day! instead of the quick burst in the morning! That and a good nights rest!!!

granola is a good energy booster along with a walk and a shower pack a couple granola bars to eat between classes there good for ya too another option is a fruit bar i wouldn't suggest coffee because it will wear u down later in the day if u cant drink it constantly same as with caffeine or OTC meds such as ephedrine and there not good for you.

I think that a good breakfast; hot or cold will set you up for the day. High energy foods like bananas are good; and soemthing like shreddies or weetabix are a good option as well! I also found a glass of water with half a lemon squeezed in not only helps wake you up but it brilliant for your skin as well!
