I have gum recession and i did scaling and I took antibiotics. Is there anything I can do except keeping the teeth clean and flox them? is there any cream or something I can use for helping my gums become normal again?

I won't repeat the advice given here because it is good. I do want to say you are probably brushing your teeth incorrectly. Do not brush up on your upper teeth, only downward. On your bottom teeth do not brush down, only up.

Not that I know of.

I would say that unfortunately scaling and antibiotics would most likely decrease any inflammation in your gums and hence make the appearance of recession look worse than it did before.

From a clinical perspective this is better than having inflammed gums which would lead to more loss of attachment of your gums to the tooth's root surface.

Your options are to see a periodontist who will assess the degree of recession and location of where the recession is i.e. is it widespread or localised in which afterwards minor surgical options can be available to you such as an coronally repositioned gum line (crown shortening) or maybe gingival augmentation via taking donor tissue from your hard palate.

For the meantime realise that keeping your gums clean and healthy by using a light brushing technique after flossing is all you really need to keep your teeth.

If the appearance is a problem then you need to see a periodontist or a dentist who has experience in periodontology.

You can have a tongue ring without having gum recession. Brush your teeth with baking soda and remove the ring before you do. You will be fine!

brush gently, and use sensodyne toothpaste, it is gentle and will help relieve the sensitivity. From bleaching and brushing hard, my gums get sore too! Talk to ur dentist though, maybe u are grinding ur teeth at night or something. Also if ur teeth are uneven at the tips sometimes that can cause ur gums to recede when u bite.

No, sorry, not that I've heard of. That's the way you are; unless you go to the extreme of going with veneers or implants of some sorts, which a cosmetic dentist can talk to you about.

Natural Remedies for Gum Atrophy

Bamboo Tabashir has many uses in treating and preventing a variety of health problems; it is a general rejuvenating agent; the mineral of youth & good looks – it improves the condition of the hair, nails, teeth, gums and skin. Its main active ingredient is naturally occurring silica, known by homeopaths to be one of the most deep acting remedies. By hardening the enamel, silica prevents cavities and preserves teeth. Silica also prevents bleeding gums, gum atrophy, and recession that causes the loosening of teeth, which could ultimately lead to tooth loss. Vegetal silica effectively fights caries (ulceration and the decay of a bone or of a tooth) and inflammation. The average adult body requires the maintenance of about 20 grams of silica to promote good health. However, the body metabolises and secrets about 10-40mg of silica per day through urination, hair loss and nail trimming. Thus, the natural level of silica declines with age causing signs of aging such as bone loss, dry and wrinkled skin, weakened teeth and gums and hair loss to occur.

Vitamin C is vital for healthy gums as it promotes the formation of healthy new gum tissue. Studies have shown that even a minor Vitamin C deficiency may increase the risk of serious gum disease. Taking Vitamin C a as a food state supplement as opposed to a synthetic product will be even more effective in reducing the inflammation and infection. We recommend Acerola Cherry Extract - one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, higher than rose hips. It is immune enhancing and helps the growth and repair of tissue.

Capra Mineral Whey and Boron contains more than 20 naturally occurring minerals in a highly complex whole food form which our bodies recognize and utilize with ease, a highly concentrated, alkaline, mineral food. The Boron helps with the integration of calcium and as gum problems partly stem from loss of calcium from the jaw / mouth area due to calcium deficiency, this product is useful in cases of gum atrophy.

Zell Oxygen is rich in all B Vitamins as well as A, E, D, K, beta carotene, minerals, trace elements, and amino acids such as Methionine, Gluthathione and Cysteine. Followed by Co enzyme A and Co enzyme Q10 plus a number of other enzymes. Studies have shown Coenzyme Ql0 to be highly effective in cases of periodontal disease and as a powerful anti-oxidant, Zell is a fantastic natural remedy for the gums and will benefit your overall health in many ways.

Olive Leaf Extract is a broad spectrum, natural antibiotic with anti-oxidant effects and is an excellent natural remedy for gum atrophy.
