Lie on your back in a very comfortable position. With your eyes closed take deep breaths through your nose. Slowly, very slowly exhale through your mouth. Do this for 15 minutes. You won't be able to stay awake that long. Good luck.

You don't suggest any reasons you have trouble sleeping.
It could be an uncomfortable bed, a room that is too hot or too cold, or it could be you simply have too much on your mind.
I don't suggest using medication for sleeping unless there is absolutely no other way, but you may want to discuss this with a doctor.
Are your eating habits reasonable? Not a heavy meal but enough food to keep you comfortable and help you relax. Nothing that gives you indigestion. Eat a few hours before bedtime.
Try reading something pleasant. If you are a Bible reader Psalms is usually very pleasant and uplifting, but pick something you like.
Good luck.

Take a hot bath, relax, play games if you wish, then try to go to sleep by listening to some soft music.
Or, you can borrow this 6 - inch thick Physics book I have. hahahaha!!!.

well you could try to drink a cup of Sleepy time tea or any non caffinated hot tea & maybe take a hot bath to relax, also lavender is very calming so you could try to burn a lavender candle or use lavender abth oils to help lull yourself in to a calmer stae & go to sleep

Are you thinking of something or somebody. They say counting sheep helps. But it's better to warm a glass of milk. DO NOT watch tv, it's better to read a book!
