Yeah yeah yeah, I know an antibiotic won't kill a virus. I obviously worded this wrong and regret having posted it in the first place.

If it's a virus, antibiotics aren't going to help you. Antibiotics are for bacterial infections, not viruses. For a stomach virus, you just have to let it run its course. Make sure to stay hydrated.

All the answers above are true. antibiotic kills bactrium not virus. but what i think ur asking is how do u get rid of a stomach virus? well u just have to let it take its course. drink plenty of liquids (clear liquids) to replensh ur body with fluid to avoid dehydration. thats about it. nothing to worry about. your body has an immune system that is built to fight off the virus and trust me, it will take care of it in a matter of 2-3 days tops. :)
If not then contact a doctor.

no problem...
Well there is Bentyl 10 or 20mg helps with stomach pain b/c it controls bowel spasms. many people see stomach pain reduced after taking it. also OTC drugs like cola syrup, Emetrol, Pepto-bismal (help with nausea and coats ur stomach). but still, ur doc should know. seriously, just say stomach pain and see what he prescribes. if nothing, get a 2nd opinion.

Prescription For Stomach Flu

None. Antibiotics kill bacteria, not viruses, and any doctor who prescribes an antibiotic for a viral infection is irresponsible to say the least.

Anti biotic do not work on viruses.

Stomach viruses is hardly a medical term. Usually it is some food poisoning and that's bacterial. Usually a doctor would prescribe a broad spectrum anti biotic.

Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections, not viral infections, unless the virus precipitates a secondary bacterial infection.

If it's viral than antibiotics can't work on it.
