A good sales person can make good money at any dealership, providing the dealership is reputable & the sales person is honest & CSI driven.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to be knowledgeable about the product that you sell & to LOVE the products.

So when choosing a place of employment;
you must 1st decide what product you are most knowledgable about.......one that you would actually feel good about owning & or selling to your friends & family.
Then make sure you check out the dealerships reputation & their way of doing business.

If you treat each & every customer with respect & honesty...you will consequenty make sales & therefore money

Sell imports.

GM is absolutly struggling right now, and that trickles down to your commission.

Plus, GM cars are just awful. GM wouldn't be in the toilet right now if they produced a quality product.

depends on each one's pay setup, but I'd go GM; they have some good products coming soon, and VW's new good stuff in a year or so away
