I guess it feels like 2 coz I need surgery to get them out (there isn't space for my wisdom teeth to grow). I chose 2 coz I'll be asleep during the procedure and after that there are a lots of meds available for pain relief.

I have had three of my four wisdom teeth pulled....first two, I was out so no pain, afterwards pain was not bad either, a couple of stitches but not a big deal, so a 1 being the least pain for that job.
The third wisdom tooth, they just numbed me up real good and pulled it out....aside of pressure and a little anxiety it wasn't bad at all....afterwards, pain was as same as the first two...so I give that one a 2 for pain just for the additional pressure and anxiety.
My teeth grew in at an angle, facing in the direction it would be natural to pull, and am guessing must have had nice straight roots...plus I have had enough toothaches to appreciate what real mouth pain is like, so that all factors in to me.
I wouldn't worry about it. Your dentist will likely prescribe you meds whether you need them or not.

I'd call it a six and a half...It hurt a lot, but not in an unbearable way. I had my teeth pulled in two sets of two teeth (left two first, right two second) and it definetely hurt, but in a way I could deal with. I had orthodontic braces after that.
I didn't take any pain medications other than orojel (a gum-numbing product) though I was glad to have that after I got my braces on. And I'll tell you something else...If I had to do it it all over again, I'd gladly deal with the pain - my currently straight and strong teeth are well worth what I went through to get them there.

I'm a dentist.
During the procedure, pain should range from minimal to none at all.
After the procedure, it totally depends.
I extract a lot of wisdom teeth, and I have some patients who tell me that they were really uncomfortable, and others who tell me that they didn't even need to take any of the narcotic pain medications I prescribed for them.
Your doctor should send you home with good pain meds, so while you will have some discomfort, I would not say to anyone that they can expect severe pain.
Dry-socket, however, does hurt badly, and we have ways to alleviate that pain quickly (but you have to see your doctor for it).

It's not a walk in the park, but you can deal with it. It's just pulling a tooth, not a root canal.
