They always drink milk, but usually (not always) by 16 months they on about 2 bottles, one in morning, one before bed. Some kids don't have bottle at all, some kids might have 3 or 4.

They drink milk bottles right up until they graduate to a cup usually about 2yrs - 2.5yrs.

By milk, do you mean formula or actual milk? The reason I'm asking is because children should not stop drinking actual milk, but need to come off formula at 12 months. Any doctor will tell you that unless your child has a health problem the first year they drink formula, then whole milk from 1-2, at 2 they can begin drinking 2% milk and at 3 skim milk.

At 16 months, your child is very active and needs the fat from the milk to stay healthy. But, if you are concerned about her health, make a trip the the doc.'s office.

She certainly doesn't need a bottle at 16 months.

If she has a glass (of cup) of regular milk with her meals, eats yogurt, cheese and other dairy products, then milk is just another food.

A 16 months, she can eat whatever the family eats and be perfectly healthy and happy.

If you are talking about breast milk, there is no reason for you to stop nursing, but nutritionally, she doesn't need it. It's all about trust and bonding after the first year.

Good luck

Human babies need mothers milk until they are weaned. After that, food will provide what she needs. Cows milk is for baby calves and not as good for you as you think.

Milk is all simple sugars. It raises the blood sugar level just like candy does. Children that overdo milk tend to be chubbier which leads to being chubby adults.

About 32 years of age then she can stop drinking milk.

Milk helps grow strong bones. It is true...keep her on milk. If not cows milk then goats milk...must better for her... or soy milk and my favorite is rice milk. But keep her on a milk, she needs the calcium and Vitamin K , and D

You mean breast milk, right? Through 24 months is good, even if it's just once a day before bed. It helps a lot with the immune system, allergies, etc.

I would make sure she always gets milk. Milk is good at any age. However as she grows older i would stop giving her whole milk and switch to 2% or even skim milk.

Are you talking of breast milk or grocery store milk?? Weaning from the breast is anytime from the baby getting teeth up to maybe 18 months on average. Grocery milk is for as long as you want to serve it, on into adulthood.

Even adults need milk! A child needs whole milk until age 2 because they need the extra fat for brain development.

Humans don't "need" cow's milk ever. They need the NUTRIENTS they get from it. If she is getting calcium from other sources then she doesn't "need" cow's milk unless she just likes it. She's not a baby cow.....she doesn't NEED it.

If you mean breastmilk, nurse her as long as both of you are happy doing it. The longer you nurse, the more benefits to both of you.
