Where and how do I buy a transfered or take over an active gym membership?

Could some one point me in the right direction. I know that eBay has a few auctions but it isn't that many. Is it possiblr to get this information from the gym itself? I travel between 3 counties in Southern California I need to be able to go to more that one gym preferably 24hrs 7 days a week.

My friend had luck on craiglist. Search under "for sale" or you could post under "for sale/wanted".
