The "disciple Jesus loved" (John?) asked who was going to betray Jesus, and Jesus said it is the one I am giving this bread to. Then Jesus dipped a piece of bread (not in wine, as far as I know) and gave it to Judis to show John who the traitor was without advertising it to everybody. It had nothing to do with the practice of intinction.

First U gotta believe a whole buncha malarky like a virgin birth. Then U gotta belive more of it, like the folks who wrote the books of the new testament actually were there. Wrong again. Some say new testament couldn't have been written sooner than 700 years after jesus supposedly lived. In that case jesus is a fictional character like any novelist's hero. Say Dicken's Tiny Tim. Or Shakespear's Falstaff, or Tolkin's Hobbits. Bible has little or no proof. It depends on Faith. "Holy communion" is an article of faith. No matter how it is done it is between the power U believe in and U. Rich folks commune with money, Poor commune with dreams. Better U believe in the power of your own mind.
