your purse or hand bag on the floor when you come in to your or any house? Don't please if you have or know that children are in the house. Sent an 8 month old child to childrens last week because the parents found her convulsing in the middle of the floor surronded by benadryl pills. She got the bottle out of a purse and had eaten about half of a full bottle. Sever brain damage.

It is not just pills in purses that are a danger. My Great-Aunt had a heart condition and she had her pills up on top of a dresser and when I was 2 I reached and grabbed them (Before child-proof bottles) and I had just gotten the lid off and was about to put one in my mouth when my mom walked into the room and found me. It would have stopped my heart. People should NEVER leave any type of pills where a child could reach them. I keep my son's medicine on the top shelf in the kitchen, where even I can barely reach them.

How dumb is the person that left their purse on the floor. There are so many items in a purse to hurt children besides pills. Gum, pins, coins ect.

Nope. Since I'm a mom, I seldom even carry a purse.

That poor baby!

Oh my gosh! That's terrible. Something that so many would take for granted - something so simple... I always leave my purse in my car, but wow... That really makes you stop and think.

Thanks for sharing matters that concerns precautions if one got babies in the family. For me I never recalled it happened to me when my children were at that age.
