You may begin flight training at any age however you can not obtain a student pilots license and solo an aircraft until you are 16 years old unless you intend to pilot a glider or balloon in which case you may be 14 years old. To become a Sport, Recreational, or Private Pilot you must be 17 years old unless you intend to pilot a glider or balloon then you may be 16 years old. To become a Commercial Pilot you must be 18 years old and to become an Airline Transport Pilot you must be 23 years old. Airline Pilots must retire by age 60.

That guy said like 60 something....umm...no! Thats damn near retirement.
My boyfriend attends the Delta Flight Academy in Sanford Florida. He just had to have a 4 year degree first, He had one in education, Before he could attend the school, he is just starting at the age of 24 he will be a co-pilot (first officer) in 2 years.

Im not sure what it takes to become a pilot from a first officer but an age criteria I doubt is it. Im sure it has something to do with hours of flight.

I should ask my co-workers about that for sure.
