1.) Perhaps your date and yourself where fighting/ having a loud conversation.
2.) Your table manners might need work.
3.) Maybe your date was really attractive, but you are not as attractive, or vice versa.
4.) Maybe you, your date, or both of you, where not dress appopiately, or in a way to gather attention.
Without more information thats all I can think of. Perhaps work on the fallowing to prevent further stairage.
