I am not a 22 yr old man..... I am a 48 yr old woman, and this is a sad little story...... I think this man needs to get a real good lawyer, first of all...... well, ok, that is what he needs to do...... if the child is wanted by him and he can take care of the baby he needs to fight for the child.... but, I can understand the grands too..... the child is a replacement for their lost child..... not a good sounding thing but is a true statement..... I feel for them..... I hope and pray it all works out....... God bless

i am not a guy but this happend to a friend of mine and he lost custody cause her mom worked for the child welfare system and even though he fought he he finally was awarded visitation with a mentor cause the grandmother lied he is still fighting for custody but isn't having much luck personally what i did was when i found out i was pregnant i sat down and on a peice of paper wrote i name sound mind and body do hear by decalre that if anything should happen to me that i give my husband all rights to my child with the understanding that he will not keep our child from seeing my parents or family and had him sign it so if you are affraid of this do this it will hold up in court also most men that are ingaged will be thrilled that they are going to be daddy's good luck

that depends on if the man has a decent job and can support the child or not
if yes, then i believe the father should have the custody of the kid, of course he needs to prove that that is his kid
if no, then the father should let the parents get custody, then get a decent job, then BEG the parents for the custody of the child

it also depends on how the parents feel toward the father
and is the father a stable and safe person

I think you'll win the case as long as you are mentally, physically and emotionally capable of raising the child. It is still best if you ask for the advice of a lawyer. Good luck!
