Does anyone really know what a christian is. I want to know what people's view of what one is, or does without any criticism since everyone is supposed to be respectful ( or subject to report as abuse). People claim to be christians but it's not enough to just say you're a christian you have to actually grow in christ and do stuff. people who say "yeah i'm a christian, but i'm not one of those christians" are obviously not christians. And can the people who claim to have read the bible "seven times" tell me what they learned? What they really learned such as: what angels, animals, people are made of/ have. What happened in the earth that then was? What will happen in the future and eternity, bible doctrine on sin, reality of spiritual warfare, how to get rid of sin, moral law and moral government, scriptual proof of divine healing, benefits of the holy spirit, how jesus came to take the place of man to have us all redeemed if we choose him as savior.

The Scriptures themselves use the term "Christian(s)" exactly three times. Interestingly, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all the times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

So why do so-called "Christians" try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because these apostate false Christians recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

I know what you're saying. Much evil has been done under the "Christian" label, and the real thing is becoming more and more rare in these last days.

The best definition I can give of a Christian is quite simple actually...

A Christian is someone who has come to terms with the fact that they are a sinner and are going to hell, and then has repented and asked God for forgiveness through Christ, who died so that if we accept Him as Lord and Savior we can go to heaven. The person then strives to live righteously from that day on, being humbled by the gift of grace they have received although undeserving, by the one and only God.

A person who has accepetd Jesus Christ as Lord and Master of their life. : By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

If so, then these shall follow:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those WHO BELONG to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

By God's Grace we are saved; however, works is only a by-product of a saving faith.

Christian is a name derived from that of Christ himself.

The name refers to all those who have been anointed through the gift of the Holy Spirit in Baptism; hence, the followers of Christ, the members of the Christian Church.

According to Acts 11:26 "it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians."

With love in Christ.

A true Christian is a person who realizes their sin, and their need for a Savior; who trusts in Jesus Christ to save them and bring them into eternal life; who loves God and desires to please Him.

With this said, Christians aren't perfect but are still followers of Jesus.

Don's got it right again. The term Christian was first used in Antioch, and was an insult which meant " little christ " Now we are proud to be called Christians!

Anyone who places their worship for Jesus above the fact that "God" is the Most Sovereign Lord. God said in the Old Testament He would never change ... Jesus is a Temptation.

Rule # 1. "I AM the Lord Thy God !" (Need I say more?)

Christains are no different than Muslims, Jews, Hindu's and so many more.

They are seeking truth to many common questions.

What is life? Why am I here? What is after life?

I am scared as Hell!

If all you have to offer is religious dogma don't waste my time or yours!
