I have made many friends in my lifetime most of them were good ones but a few betrayed me. I don't want to end up in that situation again, how do I keep that from happening?

If they like you for who you are. And you are comfortable being with them just by being yourself.

You are just gonna have to wait and find out on future actions. Judging them now will do no good because what happens if you start to doubt them when they have done nothing wrong? If they are constantly there for you and have proven to be there when you need them to then they are good friends. If they seem to never have time when you need a shoulder to lean on then that is a different story.

Keep quiet and listen. When they cut someone down, and they will, this seems to be a female trait, ask your self if their comments are valid. If they are talking about a slut and she is obviously a slut, no problem. But if they are cutting some one you do not feel deserves it, they are doing it to you when you are not present. Use their speech and actions towards others as a guide. Also, being female you are more sensitive to what we men call "gut feelings". Listen to them

I hear that. If you know these "new" friends have done something sleazy in the past (sleeping with married men, boyfriend stealing, liars, etc...) chances are they'll do it to you too. Not everyone out in our world is a scumbag, but a few do tend to spoil things. Good luck.

be sure your friends are rich cause u can benefit a lot if u have friends in high position or social statute i mean rich or famous can helps by for example finding a good job for u or u can borrow money or helps u in investing some kind of business for urself etc. than those poor friends who cannot give u anything sometimes they can even be a problem in your life okay thanks

Well, try not to get 'close' to a person too easily.....trusting is one thing but 'opening up' your inner thoughts to anybody will get you hurt easily. This is what i've learned through personal experiences.....sad...but this is a lifcycle that everyone has to go through....
Try getting to know the person first before sharing your secrets. Never trust a person 100%.
