Wet could mean illness just as dry could. Moist is the answer.

a dog keeps its nose moist by licking it...sometimes the tongue isnt long enough to do this..you can help the dog out by putting a lil bit of vaseline on its nose...i had a yorkie that had this problem..and no the nose does not have to be kept moist..it will just get dry...kinda like a humans elbows get sometimes..it will cause some discomfort for your dog..it is a good idea to help keep the nose moist but not essential

Moist to dry is okay. Wet or dryness with cracking is not good. Most of the time, you will never have a problem with this if your cocker is generally healthy.

I think it depends on if there are any other symptoms. My old dog had a dry crusty nose among other things and had Cushing's Disease.

well...it should not be WET...its gotta be kind of MOIST....this is the word...if its dry for a "long time"...then its a illness symptom but its ok if its dry only for "sometime"...take care.

no..... my dog has a dry nose a lot of the time... her nose only gets wet when she licks it.

yes they should b wet...if not then nothin to worry about it is just some normal fever or cold!!!!
show ur pet to a vet and he will suggest u the medicine....
