Calcium will help... not just milk.
But your growth spurt may not take off till you are 15 or 16.
I was 5 ft when I was 13 and 5-3 when I was 15. I was 6-0 when I was 17.

hey man my name is marcus and I have an average height or slightly above average population (if you will) 6 feet 2 inches. Now ive finally figured out a supplement that isnt injection, steriods, hormones, toxic or harmless to your health WHATSO EVER. Im not an advertiser, not an endorser, any of that bull ****.
I recommend you a website and its up to you shorty if you want to get taller son. Milk wont help so give that up. You need real stuff and thats what this website contains. Dont listen to other answers, this is it...its the reason why im 6 feet 2 now within a year( i grew two inches for your info). and my pops is 5 feet 10 and my moms is about...hmm your height i think around the five feet mark.
Take advantage right now man, you bout to hit your growspert. When you use that with your growspert, im sure youll grow faster than i did (im 18). so good luck with the team, im at college right now and im gonna transfer and try out 4 a small division college, im not a flashy guy.
Have fun growin kid

Your height is basically determined by your genetics. Tall parents usually get tall kids and vice versa. Spud Webb is probably the best reference for vertically challenged guys and basketball. He is quoted as saying, "I don't play small. You have to go out and play with what you have. I admit I used to want to be tall. But I made it in high school, college, and now the pros. So it doesn't matter."
If a guy whose height is listed at 5'7" can win a slam dunk contest and shine in the pros, then you may have a similar future. I'd suggest that if basketball is your passion that you shoot a thousand shots a day, free throws, lay ups, three pointers. If that doesn't wear you out, then MAKE a thousand a day and play with the big boys.
I'm 5'5" and chose wrestling because I was better at it. But, if basketball is your passion, then keep shooting. Don't let anyone tell you that it's a game about height. It's a game about heart.
How tall are your parents? Your siblings? Makes no difference. Just play the game.

most guys grow after they get in to be a junior or senior in HS or even collage. Sorry but I don't think you can MAKE your self get taller. With short relatives you will probably will be short. To have some idea about how tall you probably will end up. Find out from your mom exactly how tall you were when you turned 2. Take that number and double it that is usually how tall you will top out at.
My nephew was 36 inches when he turned 2 so he will be 6 feet tall.............both his parents were 5' 7" and 5' 2" so you still can have hope if you have other tall relatives

I can't believe so many people told you to have patience, the fact is you have parents who are not much taller that you are, you may grow taller than they are, you may not. You may stay your height your whole life, you are still the same person inside wether you are 6'5 or 4'9, yes, our society puts emphasis on being bid and tall, but you need to be able to accept yourself for who you are and be strong when you get smack for it. If you grow, great, if not that's okay too, though some people let image get in their way of seeing someone's true worth... like right now, you can get on here and give someone a boost and it doesn't matter if you are 2'10 and a dog, it's the internet, and no one cares. Too bad we can't be blind to height all the time...

Growth takes time, some grow faster than others. The truth is your over all height is determined by genetics, It is determined when you are born and even before that. I hate telling people that they are to young, or a kid, I am not implying that here but because of your age, 13, you still have some growth in you, you could end up 6 foot by the time you are done growing. I know its hard, but give it time. I'm 5'8 and I chose to specialized in Ninjitsu (The art of the Ninja), because no matter the height you are trained to overtake you adversary no matter what odds are against you.

In only 4 months he grew for a whole head and his voice changed. Wait when you turn 14 .. huuuge difference man.
EDIT: Beside stretch in the morning when you wake up..My mom used to tell me back in the days that it helps you grow.

Take lots of vitamins, stretch and take care of your bones and muscles.
You really can't beat what genetics has in store for you. But you can take care of yourself and be happy with who you are and how tall you eventually get. No sport can do that for you. Tall isn't necessarily better, it is all about the whole package, remember that!!! xoxo

You did enought. Play/do the sports you like, not the ones that you think will make you taller. Relax! Have fun! You will get taller, time will make it happen!
