In Colorado, you might make a case for either; Harassment or Disorderly Conduct.
Their is no way in hell that you would get charged for Assault.

I think it's ok if you warn them ahead of time. You can hold the balloon up and tell them, "If you're not out of here in 5 seconds, you're getting drenched."

That would be the most civil way to do it. If you just immediately throw it at them, they might have a case against you.

(By the way, it's an excellent idea!)

To throw water balloons at anyone is assault and battery, a crime regardless of what they have done. Post a "No Solicitors" sign on your door.

that is an awesome idea! alot better then just shooting them. if you shoot then, well.. they just lay there.. no fun at all... but water balloons! you can hit them again and again!
