If any thing there has to be an absolute truth, and everyone is not right. If it's someone's way of life, they could be wrong. Like how mayans sacrificed and killed hundreds of people to make the sun come up - they're wrong, or if someone worshipped an oak tree. If I stood on a bench and said i was standing on a "pile of feathers" then everyone here would say that i'm right ( as an example). Everyone can't be right at the same time. Is there not a line of "respect" for one another's religion?

The world today wants to believe "we'll each take our own path up the mountain and meet at the top!" ..But that's just not true.

Christianity isn't a feel-good religion, that's for sure. The reason is because God is honest. You can't get to heaven just by being a good person, or by being true to yourself. That would be nice to accept, wouldn't it? But there's only one way to heaven, and that's Jesus Christ.

Step 1 - Realize that you have sinned. Anything from a slight lie to looking lustfully after a man or woman to killing someone in cold blood is a sin. We've all sinned, so we should all be able to admit this.

Step 2 - Realize that the penalty for sin is death. If you stole a car one day and spent the next 10 days doing volunteer charity work, do you think a judge would let you off the hook for stealing the car? If he's a good judge then he won't, because that wouldn't be justice. It's the same with God. He's a just God, so if there's a crime there MUST be a punishment. Now imagine that you're in the courtroom and you're found guilty of stealing the car. Suddenly a stranger walks in and tells the judge, "Don't punish this person. Punish me in their place." The judge agrees and you're set free. You don't even know the guy.. Are you going to be grateful? Indifferent? Or hate him? That's exactly what Christ did for you -- He paid the price of your sin so that you don't have to. But you have to accept Him as your savior and receive the gift He's given you, otherwise you pay the full price of your sin anyway. Why pay yourself when someone loved you enough to make this kind of offer?

Step 3 - Repent and ask forgiveness. Repentence means you stop doing things you know are wrong. You're going to slip up and struggle just like everybody else, but at least you're trying to live the way Christ lived.

Step 4 - Follow through with your commitment to live righteously and serve God.

‘You and a friend are walking along the path (…) And as you go along up the path you happen to pick up something ravishingly beautiful, sparkling, a jewel of extraordinary antiquity and beauty. You are so astonished to find it (…) You look at it with great astonishment (… ) You hold it for some time, amazed and silent. Then you put it very carefully in your inside pocket, button it, and are almost frightened that you might lose it or that it might lose its sparkling, shining beauty. And you put your hand outside the pocket that holds it. The other sees you doing this and sees that your face and your eyes have undergone a remarkable change. There is a kind of ecstasy, a speechless wonder, a breathless excitement. When the man asks: ‘What is it that you have found and are so extraordinarily elated by?’ you reply in a very soft, gentle voice (it seems so strange to you to hear your own voice) that you picked up truth. You don’t want to talk about it, your are rather shy; the very talking might destroy it. And the man who is walking beside you is slightly annoyed that you are not communicating with him freely, and he says that if you have found the truth, then let’s do down into the valley and organize it so that others will understand it, so that others will grasp it and perhaps it will help them. You don’t reply, you are sorry that you ever told him about it’.

There is absolute truth .. . .
There is no absolute truth . .. .
We are just a tiny tweeeny flake here. This universe..
Dont waste time on seeking the absolute truth.

Buddha ones explains -

And suppose someone were to ask you, 'This fire that has gone out in front of you, in which direction from here has it gone? East? West? North? Or south?' Thus asked, how would you reply?
That doesn't apply, Master Gotama. Any fire burning dependent on a sustenance of grass and timber, being unnourished -- from having consumed that sustenance and not being offered any other -- is classified simply as 'out' (unbound).
Even so, Vaccha, any physical form by which one describing the Tathagata would describe him: That the Tathagata has abandoned, its root destroyed, like an uprooted palm tree, deprived of the conditions of existence, not destined for future arising.

Islam is the absolute Truth, and i want to invite u to Islam. Islam is The Religion of Peace, Love, Harmony & Humanity. Don't judge it by actions of Muslims, judge it by what it teaches. i say that dont even go by what i say or by what anyone else say. Do research ur self and Seek The Truth urself 'coz u owe it to urself to know The Truth, and ignorance is one the biggest crime a person can commit against himself. i would recommend that u read The Holy Quran, if u can then take a look at Sahih Hadiths (Prophet's Sayings), and also research through Authentic Reliable Books & Sites (dont count on sites that defame Islam, 'coz they just propagate mis-information and mis-conceptions abt Islam, they cant even back up their comments with significant proofs, so mostly they are rambling falsehood). In the end, i want u to be the judge, as it is ur decision to take. Dont go by anyone's hearsay (even mine) and DO research urself. May ALLAH (GOD) guide u on The Path to Seek The Truth. Peace to All.

Not all religions are the same.
If one person believes in God, they cannot make somenoe else believe it as well.

I believe in God, and I think that my beliefs are the truth. At the same time, I respect everyone else's beliefs and do not argue with them or try to convince them that I am right.

Unfortunalely, there are people in the world that would hurt me,or even kill me for what I believe, but to them it is the right thing to do.

I think it's sad really.

ABSOLUTE
TRUTH

Jesus had publicly declared that

“No one is good except God alone”.
(Luke 18:19)

And ___ Jesus (PBUH) had always introduced himself, as a servant of the Lord. The Holy One alone.
In Bhagavad-Gita, worship of different demigods8 or rendering service to them, is not approved. It is stated therein.
“Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship, according to their own nature”.
(Bhagavad-Gita 7:20)

Worship the One and Alone Lord

“Krishna even discouraged his father Nanda Maharaja from worshipping the demigod Indra because he wanted to establish the fact that people need not to worship any demigod. They need only worship the Supreme Lord, because their ultimate goal is to return to the Supreme Lord’s abode”.
(Bhagavad-Gita, Introduction, page 20, 21)9

It is written in Torah (the Law of Moses) that Jehovah (the Lord, the Holy One) is not like anything. Jehovah is the All-Alone God. All the gods, other than Jehovah, are unreal. To worship someone else beside Jehovah, is to purchase Jehovah’s anger and wrath.
(Ten Commandments)

It was asked from Muhammad (PBUH) that what is really meant by the fate or destiny? He replied that if Allah desires to extend some relief or gain to someone, then, there is no one to restrain it. And___ if Allah desires to extend some grief or loss to someone, then there is also no one to repulse it. No more or no less, is really meant by the fate or destiny. This explanation is positively confirmed by Quran vide chapter 35, Verse 2. Quran says that Allah is the Creator of life and death and the whole universe/cosmos and nothing is alike Allah.

Inspite of these phenomenal facts, the masses have left the Lord, the Holy One and resorted to human beings and demigods. What is the reason thereof?

Answer is very simple that it was Satan, who misled the masses, at massive scale. Satan introduced his own way which is based on the worship of gods/goddesses instead of the Lord, the Holy One.

The masses, on the other hand, are so ignorant that they do not apprehend this particular substitution of Monotheism by Polytheism and Pantheism. They do not understand, even, the meanings of worship.

Worship means to consider & declare oneself lowly & helpless before a thing or a person and to consider & declare it/him as the omnipotent, the saviour, and the protector.10

When a person prefers someone else upon the Lord and considers him as the saviour, the omnipotent, the protector, like that of the Lord, then, he virtually adopts the way of Satan, leaving aside the path shown by the Lord, the Holy One. Such a person, practically, seeks help/protection/prosperity from the creature instead of the Creator and thereby stamps himself, by his own hands, as an enemy of the Lord, the Holy One.

To seek help or refuge from a person, other than the Lord, considering him as the Omnipotent-Protector OR to pray or beseech before him, for expulsion of some grief or loss, and extension of some relief or gain___ is all and all___ nothing else but the worship. That is the consolidated verdict of Torah (the Law of Moses), Bhagavad-Gita, the Book of Psalms, the Gospels, the Quran and all the Scriptures. People of all the Scriptures should, therefore, resort to their Scriptures and the Message of Monotheism, contained therein. They must realize, in letter and spirit, that Omnipotent-Protector and the Creator is none, but One, the Holy One, alone. And___ worship is meant for the Creator alone___ not for the creature, the prophets, the gods, the goddesses, the idols or so on.

All-Alone Lord means that there is no God beside the All-Alone Lord. This fundamental lesson has been, altogether, forgotten while everyone knows that none on the earth or in heavens or between the both___ is greater than the Lord, the One God. Instead, every creature is lowly and helpless before the Lord.

Besides that, everyone knows that whatsoever is created___ is created by the Lord, alone. Who is the Omnipotent-Protector. Even then, the masses do not establish the pure and pious worship of the Lord. Nor they act upon the Commandments of the Lord. They do act__ but__ upon their self-assumed, satanic ways. They are the servants of Satan___ not of the Lord.

At present stage of human history, when the continued work of the Godly-guidance stands, already, perfected in terms of the long series of prophets and their Scriptures. And__ the Day of Judgement is also at hand. The masses must review, all and all of that, which is being maintained by them; in the name of faith and belief.

The ignorant must pay heed to the Scriptures and the Message of Monotheism, contained therein. Still there is some time for the Repentive Recourse to reform and recognize the actual purpose of life including the actualisation thereof.

Jesus (PBUH) had given this message in his prayer on the cross (The Psalm 22)

“Praise the Lord, you servants of the Lord
Honour the Lord,
You descendants of Jacob
Worship the Lord, you people of Israel.”
(The Psalm 22:23)

It means that praise is meant for the Lord alone. And___ to honour the Lord means to obey the Lord in terms of the Lord’s Commandments and to worship the Lord means to seek help and refuge from the Lord as the Lord is the Omnipotent-Protector alone. And___ that is the sole purpose of human life.

You are right. I would just like to add though that absolute truth is not dependent upon everyone acknowledging it.

It's all relative. Absolute is an extreme concept. Extremism creates cults, like Islam or Christianity, which people might find absolute enough to kill themselves and their neighbors for. Keep things moderate. Fanaticism is for the immature.
