Probably not.
Unless you are in Texas, I hear texas prosecutors like drug trafficers and let them off.
IMO ... he screwed up his privilege of having a green card (if indeed he has one) and deserve to be booted out. Give someone more deseriving that privilege.
He had his chance, now his new wife gets to go to Mexico with him if she wants to be with him. Why do they always want to come to the US? Why dont the wives/husbands go to the other persons country? (And yes ... I did)

The nerve of this depressing bas*ard. Mexico has oil and that i'm specific that Calderon is utilising it as his hammer against united statesa.. i would not supply Mexico a dime for anti-drug training or lavatory paper. The Mexicans are taking benefit of united statesa.'s stupidity that's sparkling to any smart individual who can in the present day see their strategies. If we supply Calderon a million.4 billion funds he will use $500 for this methodology, pocket $a million billion and use something for a sparkling socker stadium. no longer a dime to Mexico!!!

Unless he can prove some sort of innocence his chances of getting legal status in the U.S. are not very good.
Drug offenses are very unlikely to be pardoned. Best advice is to find a good immigration attorney and see if there are any conditions in this case that might help.
The fact he's doing time suggests there aren't.

I hope not! I for one am sick and tired of people coming into this country and getting involved in illegal activities instead of getting a legitimate job! Furthermore, drug dealers are the absolute SCUM OF THE EARTH, taking advantage of kids and people with addictions. Ugh. Enough already...gravy train is dry, the gates are closing. The Statue of Liberty says "give me your tired, your poor...your downtrodden...yearning to be free..." It says nothing about welcoming criminals to our shores.
However, if he's legally married I'll bet they let him stay. Hope he cleans up his act so that people like me--who vote--won't generalize about people like him--who sell drugs.
Oh...and don't any of you bleeding heart liberals start emailing me: I stated an opinion based on facts and I'm not going to debate it with you.

Yep. After X number of years of being crime free he can. It takes time though. And, I'll bet that weed was all smoked up but not by mexicans though. Probably by the very people bitching about him being here. Right? God, what hypocrits.

HOW COULD HE HAVE NOT BEEN IN TROUBLE BEFORE IF HE'S DOING TIME ? FELONY MEANS YOU LEAVE. THEY WILL NEVER LET HIM STAY OR HE WILL NEVER GET A GREEN CARD. HE WILL BE DEEMED UNDESIRABLE. HE SHOULD OF THOUGH ABOUT IT BEFORE COMMITTING THE CRIME. WHATS THE BIG DEAL ANYWAY ? ONCE HE GETS DEPORTED HE WILL JUST SNEAK BACK IN.

If he is drug trafficking it doesn't matter if he has never been in trouble before. His butt belongs in a mexican prison.
