I have some hard-to-get dvd's movies and iam worry about it from getting lost or or being destroyed but its copy-protested dvd's, is there any way to make backup copy from it while its protected?

of caurse there is.
u should be looking for backup software.
Xp has backup utility (start-programs-accessories-system tools-backup), but it fails while copying to any removable disk - CD/DVD or USB flash drive (but some responds say that it works, but i couldn't make that).
now,as solution u can download True Image.
this software saves files directly to any removable disk without 3_rd party software (such as nero,alchohol etc).
and after ur files(in this case ur DVD files) will be save.

Though you're making a backup of a DVD you own (wink, wink), it's not legal to do so.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but keep in mind that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 made it illegal to crack the copyright protection, even for backup purposes. You see, under old copyright law, it is legal to make a backup. But this newer law makes it illegal to crack the protection. It's a catch-22 that will lose in court everytime, as we have seen...

who gives a rats
use dvd shrink.
then nero or sumthing to burn.
