What's the Los Angeles weather like in April?

My family and I are coming to California for the first time during my siblings spring break, which is April 6-15. I've looked everywhere and can't find out what the weather is actually like in April, other than it rains, sometimes. Ohio's weather is much different than Californias, so we have no idea what type of clothes to bring, etc. Also, I was wondering if anyone has ever ate at the Geisha House, and if it was a good place for a family to go.

man, it can be rainy - or sunny. if sunny - it still cools down at night. i suggest layered clothing and bring suntan lotion!

i know plenty of visitors do the tourist things like: Universal CityWalk. And the beaches/piers. and if in Los Angeles, with kids 8th grade or younger, you MUST visit the La Brea Tar Pits!

Like the other 11 months of the year, the weather in LA in April can be unpredictable. I got married on the 18th of April (some years ago) and it was well into the 80's that day. Just the week before it had been cold and rainy. So you just never know.

Generally speaking the weather is very nice in April. Usually in the 70's during the day time and the 50's at night. But be prepared for extremes in either direction.

Pack for layers. Have a variety that you can layer on more if it is colder and peel off layers if it gets too hot. Bring a light jacket and a small umbrella as there is always a chance of rain in April. Jean or pants, short sleeved shirts, t-shirts, a couple of long sleeved shirts, just your general vacation clothes should do.

Depending on what you are doing you may be outdoors quite a bit; don't forget to pack a hat or visor and some sunscreen! Even in April you can get burned!

And bring your swimsuit! You never know when you might get a chance to go swimming!

I'm from L.A. and I remember that in April it was preety sunny but still a little cool throughout the day. I would advice you that if you are to come out here you should bring with you clothes that you wear for the summer and also bring some lightweight sweaters that you would wear for fall. Just in case if you would like bring a rain coat if it rains but I doubt it. I hope your trip goes out well out here, you'll like it. Make sure to visit the beaches!

Weather here is always mild. even when it is rainy. id say there would probably be a 90% chance that it will be warm anywhere from 70-80 degrees. NOT humid.

i can tell you the weather is chilly in the morning but, it clears up and is warm and cozy in the afternoon. have fun on you trip.
