Always praise while IN trouble.....this is very honorable to God. He wants us to love HIM for HIM not what he can do for us. This is the ultimate in faith. How and When do we praise him....when times are good, or when times are bad... try it...it works...makes you feel better too.

You can turn page after page of the Bible there are plenty, but the most awesome one is the one that was taught to us by Jesus, the "Lords Prayer." It is the most complete prayer, since it was taught to us by the Son of God. Take note of the first part of the prayer, "Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Holy be Your name,", the most perfect prayer of praise.

There are many awesome prayers of praise.
Here is one:
Psalm 111
Praise the Lord
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart.
In the company of the upright and in the assembly.
Great are the works of the Lord.
they are studied by all who delight in them.
Splendid and majestic is His work
And His righteousness endures forever
He has made His wonders to be remembered;
The Lord is gracious and compasionate.
He has given food to those who fear Him.
He will remember His covenant forever.
He has made known to His people the power of His works.
In giving them the heritage of the nations.
The works of His hands are truth and justice.
All His precepts are sure.
They are upheld forever and ever
They are performed in truth and righteousness
He has sent redemption to His people
Holy and awesome is His name
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
A good understanding have all those who do His
commandments
His praise endures forever.

This is the father of John the baptist at his birth... after he was unable to speak for 9 months ;-)
Luke 1:67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit. He prophesied, 68 “Give praise to the Lord, the God of Israel! He has come and set his people free. 69 He has acted with great power and has saved us. He did it for those who are from the family line of his servant David. 70 Long ago holy prophets said he would do it. 71 He has saved us from our enemies. We are rescued from all who hate us. 72 He has been kind to our people. He has remembered his holy covenant. 73 He made an oath to our father Abraham. 74 He promised to save us from our enemies, so that we could serve him without fear. 75 He wants us to be holy and godly as long as we live.
76 “And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High God. You will go ahead of the Lord to prepare the way for him. 77 You will tell his people how they can be saved. You will tell them that their sins can be forgiven. 78 All of that will happen because our God is tender and caring. His kindness will bring the rising sun to us from heaven. 79 It will shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death. It will guide our feet on the path of peace.”
