It's because Satan is so clever and manipulative that he has you asking this question.
God is good, so all things that come from Him will be good.
Examples: Salvation. Answered prayers. Blessings.
Satan is evil, so all things that come from him will be bad.
Examples: Eternal damnation. STDs. Curses.

Let's see. We say god is all powerful, but the devil has power over us, plus we have free will. So actually, this equation does not work. There are so many things that don't pan out in religion, so maybe you are right. The thing is that we are so willing to be tricked by the devil since we refuse to look at the obvious inequities.
What if the devil is really the one with the lion's share of the power? Looking at world history from that vantage point, things seem to fall into place more evenly. The power hungry and the greedy ruthlessly attain their goals with no regard for life or the survival of the planet, itself. there is more tragedy in the world than happiness. We humans have always maintained a history of violence and destruction.
So many wars have been waged in the name of God.
Too many historical facts can be mentioned in favor of your theory. My friend, you have a good point.

No offense, but if you even have to ask a question like that then Satan has gotten a hold of you. If God was the real Satan, believe you me, this world would have ended by now. It would be a hell of a lot worse then it is. You should go to church or start Bible studying with a True Christian. You will get your ? answered and will be shown answers from the Bible.

The question doesn't make sense. Why would Satan do that and why would he make up a God that must exist because he created Satan in the first place?

well if God were Satan, then who gives believers peace? and then where does love come from?
Oh, wait I think love must come from our desire to survive. Do the birds and the bees fall in love before they reproduce? I'm not that bright...I'm only a college graduate...help me out here...
Oh maybe I missed the forum when the tigers, lions and bears were online arguing about God...why in the hell are we the animals that do all the pointless crap that we do?

we don't know - that is part of the mystery of life and the development of faith. even in the Bible it says that Satan can make himself appear to be an angel of light. it also says that in the last days there will be a man filled with the spirit of satan and most of the world will be fooled into thinking that he will bring them peace. he is a smooth talker - so you just need to be convinced in your own heart and mind about who God and Satan are.

Evil produces evil. Evil hasn't ever produced purity.
Here's something from the bible:
Matthew 4:8 the devil took him(Jesus) to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9"All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
10Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.]"
11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

God and Jesus told us to beware of those that will come in His name, claiming to be the Messiah. a nice warning from one who you claim could be satan.
this would be a good question to post on a satanic forum. the chaos that might come from their interpetation of that question might just drive them insane.

satan gets way too much credit--he can only do what god allows--and that is the milliom dollar question--why does god allow it?
