I am running Fedora Core 3. When using "shutdown -r now" the systems powers down instead. What's wrong?

ATX style computer systems are engineered to do power down by default when shutdown, you do know the command is shutdown immediately yes?

If that power off behavior is not wanted, go BIOS setup. If there is an option modify it, gotta be in BIOS.
