If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is: http://www.acne-treatment-medicine-1.info/

I agree with the other ladies that toothpaste does work, but I can't STAND the smell !! So I use peroxide to clean the surface of the acne/pimple whatever. Most of the time it gets down inside the pore as well and starts to "eat up" the infection and the redness goes away as the infection goes away. You might also try a bit of neosporin (or generic brand or whatever you use on cuts) after the peroxide ! Might take more than overnight, but works like a charm for me!!

This might sound silly, but Preparation H works to reduce swelling and redness. Also, put some ice on it to reduce the swelling. Or chilled used teabags, sliced cucumbers - you get the idea...

Perhaps aspercreme, the topical aspirin would reduce swelling.

in case you seem up Michelle Phan's video clips on youtube, she has a particular "aspirin mask" which could actually help you on your situation. I have used it two times so a ways, and any reddness in my face has thoroughly vanished!! truthfully examine it out because it has salicylic acid in it it really is utilized in a lot of severe end pimples products :)

Sometimes redness never goes away in some areas of you face. You can always use a biegish concealer. MAC is the best.

I know I am about to make a fool of myself but I find it to work very well. Toothpaste. Rub it in good. And for me it takes the redness away.
